South California’s leading primary electricity supply company, Southern California Edison (SCE) will initiate a three-month testing trial of the battery-electric Class 8 truck on Freightliner eCascadia from the Freightliner Customer Experience (CX) Fleet.
SCE principal manager of Fleet Management, Todd Carlson mentioned, “SCE’s testing of the eCascadia is a major step down the path of achieving our company’s fleet electrification goals,”.
Edison International, SCE’s parent company recently announced their goal to electrify 30% of its medium-duty vehicles and pickup trucks and 8% of their heavy-duty trucks.
